Where to spend a *QUIET* 4th of July???
Jul. 2nd, 2012 01:14 amI want to get away from all the fireworks and idiots blowing thing up on the 4th. Ideally, I would spend a day or so with the dogs and *no* fireworks...and the only place without fireworks on that day appears to be...Canada.
While I'd LOVE to spend a day or ten in Vancouver hiking and hanging out, it's a little impractical for a day that's only three days away. Google has been more than useless: I'm surprised-- I thought for sure there would be others who want a silent, firework-less place. I guess this is what RV's and remote locations are made for (but I'd fear miscreants and zombies, so still stressful).
Anyone out there have practical destinations within a hundred miles of L.A. Or have mad Google skilz that can find a search combination that will help me find a place? The second best "solution" so far (after Canada) is to find a massively high-fire-danger area.
