I make costumes. Big, furry or scaley critters are my favorite, probably from watching too many Godzilla films as a kid. I do a lot of walking for the fun of it, usually with a dog or two in tow. I live in the L.A. area but love Seattle. Blah-blah-blah.
This is my way of keeping track of what I'm doing and what I've done. I don't mind people adding me to their f'list, but I don't tend add back. I -really- wish LJ would call it a "contact" list or a "journal-link" or something not as full of connotations as "friends list". The people on my f'list tend to be those I'm in constant contact with or work with or need to keep up with. A lot of them are locals (or ex-locals) that we're trying to keep in touch via LJ. When I first started LJ, I found that I could not keep up with reading my friends list and sometimes important posts got lost in the scroll, so I've since tried to keep my list as minimal as possible. I try to warn and give reasons why I take someone off that list (usually inactivity or lack of common interests); sometimes I will take someone off temporarily because they've posted HUGE pictures that screw up my friends list view or because of some issue (like the election season) when some friends go nuts. I hate that this explanation is bigger than my bio/interests...
Just a note on mail and such: I don't check my LJ mail account very often; if you want to email me, send to my furtech/gmail addy.
