Yesterday T&tB and I tried out a renaissance faire in Corona. This faire competes directly with the larger faire in Helena Park and has only been around for about five years. The big attraction for us was the day's theme: Pirates~!
I know a couple of people who would have enjoyed this: one because of the horses (nice display of Big Horses) and another because the lightly attended event meant no jostling and bumping. There were plenty of exhibits and sellers of wares and the weather was nice!
T picked up some more garb and I found some neat old padlocks for cheap. On the way out I finally broke down and picked up a blue pirate coat: I came up with a nice idea for a costume set (a nemises for the Crimson Collie) that will let me recycle another head for.
Traffic was fine and we had a good time: maybe we'll make the trip to the Ren Faire a Memorial Day weekend annual event. A lot of fun and no hassles with travelling for the weekend.
