I live out waaaaaay out in Central MA, in the boondocks. I'd be immune from any nuclear event in Boston. My one blessing is I don't need to travel into Boston and the Red Sox lunacy is confined within the 128 beltway (mostly).
So.. my observations last night:
1. The moon returned to its full brightness.. so no Book of Revelations stuff this evening. 2. No dull red glow on the eastern horizon.. means Boston isn't burning to the ground.. yet. 3. I live in a house with a collective ten firearms and two men that know how to use them, so we're safe from Red Sox Nation Lunatics!
I must admit, even though I'm a unrepetant Yankee fan, it was *fun* seeing the Sox finally take one home while I called their turf "home".
I'm not a big fan of the 'Sox (Go Giants, next year!), but I've got a big soft spot for any sports team under a curse/dry spell. And I saw how devestated my girlfriend at the time was when the Red Sox lost to the Mets (I was watching with her during game 6). So-- I'm very happy for her wherever she is now.
Oddly, I'm kind of envious of her: while I don't want a huge lungful of the stuff, I would like to know what it feels like, first hand.
There was once a science fiction con in the '60's that got hit with drifts of tear gas (it was being held in Berkeley). Tear-gassing nerds...how ironic!
Hello... a friend of mine was showing me a picture of Auryanne's husky suit and said that you made it. I'm curious to see your other suits, as hers is soooo cute :) I'm looking to get a husky suit of my own if I can gather up the money. Do you maybe have a website with pics of some of your work?
