WOO-HOO!
Edit:
Of particular interest:
http://poa.kewlplaces.net/gallery01/1dement.html
And for you Snape/Slytherin fans:

And, unfortunately it looks like Sirius is a plain ol' dumb lab (instead of some cool devil dog or at least a Newfie or something):
http://poa.kewlplaces.net/gallery01/poa-snuffles.html
And, bah! No pics of Moony! Human or otherwise that I can see...

Date: 2003-06-09 11:02 am (UTC)Lemme know if you ever make it out to the left coast and I'll do what I can to reciprocate. Or lasso you in to work on something. Which reminds me: do people in the film industry over there do "side projects" as well? Personal projects like the one you're working on: not just amateur films, but industry professionals using (often borrowed) professional equipment and wrangling in fellows from work to help? A lot of people do that out here, but I hardly ever hear about it in other countries.
Re: That's so cool!
Date: 2003-06-11 02:48 pm (UTC)It's a very close knit and chummy industry. You need to make a lot of friends to survive in it, and really try not to piss anyone off.
The guy you don't get on with on one job, may be boss/best friend to the one doing the next job. Get a few people to dislike you - and bye bye career.
There was one guy I knew, really not sociable at all, and far too egotistical about his talents who has lose all hope for a SFX career with his behaviour. One person mentions hiring him, another notes that he was rude and unsociable and they turn to the next CV, dispite it not being as good.
Most hit a niche tho, get a job that suits - 'animatronic guy' 'sculptor' etc. But sometimes they do do their own thing. Scales of projects vary with the people involved.
I've got a group of CG animators/visual effects guys on side for my next project now! :o)
Wish you could join in.
