Hey! Hoo-haa! Someone from the "MadamMalkins" Yahoo! group posted a site with photos from the making of "Prisoner of Azkaban"!!!

WOO-HOO!

Edit:
Of particular interest:

And for you Snape/Slytherin fans:

And, unfortunately it looks like Sirius is a plain ol' dumb lab (instead of some cool devil dog or at least a Newfie or something):

And, bah! No pics of Moony! Human or otherwise that I can see...

Ah, so Moony's the werewolf right?

Hey, cool pics.

I'm actually working with the guy who made the Prisoner of Azkaban werewolf. Chris Fitzgerald. I've interviewed him talking about it, and comparing it to the werewolf he is making at the moment (Terry Gilliam, Brothers Grimm movie).
Very interesting stuff, and very talented sculptor.

It's all going into a documentary i'm doing instead of writing a dissertation. I'll stick it online when i'm done if you're interested.

BTW, I finished my movie trailer, its here if you want to see it:

I'm afraid it's only a small crappy version for now until I find somewhere with 40Megs to hose the big, compressed version.

That's so cool!

That's great news! You have an especially cool life these days! I'm envious that you're working with the guy doing Moony! Then again, I'm pretty lucky to have friends who worked on the Gingersnaps wolves, so I guess it all balances out!

I guess werewolves are big again. I know of three+ projects state-side with prominent werewolves in them and just heard of a friend who got the go-ahead to do a soft-core werewolf flick. After all those vampire films, it's about time!

And kudos on your trailer! Nice production values and some terrific fight scenes! I wish we had convenient rustic locales to shoot at! Best we can do out here is the good ol' Palm Desert (bleah).

You should see my documentary dissertation with the shots of Rome ;o)

If you come to the uk, depending on where i'm working, i'll get you in to see some of the stuff.

Wow-- thanks! UR2Kewl!
Lemme know if you ever make it out to the left coast and I'll do what I can to reciprocate. Or lasso you in to work on something. Which reminds me: do people in the film industry over there do "side projects" as well? Personal projects like the one you're working on: not just amateur films, but industry professionals using (often borrowed) professional equipment and wrangling in fellows from work to help? A lot of people do that out here, but I hardly ever hear about it in other countries.

From what I hear, yes.
It's a very close knit and chummy industry. You need to make a lot of friends to survive in it, and really try not to piss anyone off.
The guy you don't get on with on one job, may be boss/best friend to the one doing the next job. Get a few people to dislike you - and bye bye career.
There was one guy I knew, really not sociable at all, and far too egotistical about his talents who has lose all hope for a SFX career with his behaviour. One person mentions hiring him, another notes that he was rude and unsociable and they turn to the next CV, dispite it not being as good.

Most hit a niche tho, get a job that suits - 'animatronic guy' 'sculptor' etc. But sometimes they do do their own thing. Scales of projects vary with the people involved.

I've got a group of CG animators/visual effects guys on side for my next project now! :o)
Wish you could join in.
