Dog-fear Day!

The 4th of July is coming up in a few days. I need to find somewhere to hide with the dogs so they are minimally traumatized. I give them ear-plugs and while this helps R0ndo (he's cool when the booms are muffled), Apache will still be a furry package of fear. She doesn't even like the little "pop" that the speakers make when the computer is turned off (something about square waves, I guess).

Any suggestions within driving range* of Los Angeles appreciated!


*Let's say that reasonable driving range is a couple of hours-- or I'd seriously consider Canada...

You can probably get some Acepromozine from the vet for Casey...that will take the edge off the panic/fear. As noted above, closing all the windows will help to keep the noise out. My best to your pup! I miss seeing her!
