Dog-fear Day!

The 4th of July is coming up in a few days. I need to find somewhere to hide with the dogs so they are minimally traumatized. I give them ear-plugs and while this helps R0ndo (he's cool when the booms are muffled), Apache will still be a furry package of fear. She doesn't even like the little "pop" that the speakers make when the computer is turned off (something about square waves, I guess).

Any suggestions within driving range* of Los Angeles appreciated!


*Let's say that reasonable driving range is a couple of hours-- or I'd seriously consider Canada...

Hmmm you need a soundproof room...maybe you can rent out a recording studio for the night? Hey, that might be easier than Canada!

I'm lucky that my dogs actually enjoy the fireworks, but I'm not sure what to expect from my temporary border collie, Pilot.

Ha! The business that shares space with us is an audio post-production house. I'm sure Les would be thrilled to have us camping out in there!
