First, for Diadexxus: Antron Fleece is only available (wholesale) from one company that I know of:

Hampshire Textiles (in Vermont, I think): (603) 528-4220.

If you're not in the market for a full roll (50 yards?), you might be able to get a list of retail distributors that are local for you. You want the heavier weight fleece.

Pirates (fictional and corporate): Katzenberg blamed the public's lack of interest in cel animation for the failure of "Sinbad". What a load of crap. Why not blame a lousy story; blame ineffectual characterizations and boring character designs; blame the generally soulless and vapid heart of the film. Otherwise how would he explain the popularity of "Lilo and Stitch"? Or even "Spirit"? He has gall to blame a -medium- rather than any aspect of the film that he had control over. When "Shark Slayer" bombs (it has that feel), I wonder what he will blame...

And then there are the pirates of "Pirates of the Caribbean"! Yes, one of my favorite Disneyland rides (after the Tiki Room), I was thrilled from the first frames (that I saw...) of the movie! Everything that Dreamworks did wrong on Sinbad they did right on Pirates. VERY similar stories, too: two men from different backgrounds must work to a common end (and are hindered/complicated by a woman both have feelings for). But I LOVED the Jack Sparrow character from the beginning! One of my favorite hero entrances: Standing noble and proud, coming in to dock... as the camera pans down...hahaha! He reminded me a little of the Snake Bliskin character from "Escape From NY". Fantastic movie! Pirates! Yay!

A picture of the sparrows that built a nest under the eaves of my back porch: I didn't even notice them until the poopage on the ground started to become plentiful... and after the disaster with the mockingbird (still not back, slumming at the neighbors), I was careful to avoid looking at them. I think they've just fledged...

Sinbad rambling.

It's bad that Katzenberg would blame a lack of interest by the general public in hand-drawn animation. I think the interest is definitely there, but a lot of animated films seem to miss their target audience (and then again, some don't.) "Lilo and Stitch" actually turned a profit for Disney, whereas a lot of others have not in recent years, so I've heard.. I didn't think "Sinbad" was all that horrible, myself, but I can see there was room for improvement. Still better than "Eldorado," if you ask me.

"Pirates of the Carribean" was great. I loved Jack Sparrow's eye makeup, in addition to a great character wonderfully played, of course. Heh.
