When I was browsing Kinokuniya the other day, I saw a L'Arc-En-Ceil CD with some amazing cover art:

The cover was created by Ryohei Hase, an artist from Japan.
His work is surreal and haunting: I haven't come across a new artist that had affected me this much in a long time.
Some examples of his gallery:
(the titles here are descriptive, not actual)
A canvas of wolves in a torturous free-for-all
For Skulldog: A skull-headed beast and woman
I am in love with this one:Umbrellas and immolation
The details add so much.
A zoom into a hare-free-for-all-fight showing his incredible detail
Elephants
He also has a Deviant account
Check out his galleries.
