Christmas Eve Hike

Went on a Christmas Eve hike with the dogs. Beautiful and clear, warm and windy: a very L.A. kind of Christmas.

The holidays are a nice, relaxing time for me: some years ago I made non-proliferation agreements with my close friends: no presents, just a meal or other get-together. Dog-gifts. That sort of thing. Love it.
Ate dog-cookies. I received Christmas cookies: wonderful part of the holiday (thanks, Kim!!). One of the boxes had two sets of cookies, so I dug into the one that had oatmeal. It was about the third bite that I realized they had no sugar and were very al dente. But I had been distracted by the unusual combination of peanut butter and oatmeal. Finally realized I should read the card: yup. One box of people-cookies, one for the dogs. Still, they were pretty tasty. And my teeth are so shiny!
To those who celebrate Christmas (secular or spiritual) and/or Hanukkah or Solstice or any of the winter holidays– have a great one!
