So does anyone have any polite suggestions for stuff to do on Superbowl Sunday? I'm not a big football fan, so usually me and my nerdy friends head out to some venue that is normally packed. In the past it had been Disneyland: you could literally -walk- onto rides, even the newer ones. These days, others have figured that one out and D'land is busier than normal on SBS.

The beach? In previous years we'd take the dogs there, but Frieda'd not enjoy it as much these days and few of us are sun-worshipers.

Anyone? Anyone? Class?

Dunno what to suggest for the LA area. I'm either going up to one of the local lakes or to the Wild Animal Park to plein air paint. Is there a local zoo or something like Nature Conservancy land where you could go for a hike?

One of the zoos might be a decent choice: no crowds (weekends) and no hordes of school kids (weekdays). The trouble is, the LA Zoo is a hole. It's too bad Karina is heavily chained to her computer by her WoW or we'd kidnap her and hike down there or even head down your way and zoo or something. Then again, I probably should have started plans for Sunday sooner than this...

I invited her down to go to the Zoo today, but she had other plans. As it turns out, it's a good thing as it's been raining here much of the day (which didn't stop me from traipsing out for a short hike to take pics).
