Need suggestions..

I've been asked to be on a panel at Further Confusion called, "Fursuit Flashback," (Friday @ 1PM). Apparently the purpose of this panel is to showcase costumes exhibited pre-FC99 (Jan. 1999). Any suggestions as to which costumes I should bring up? I'm still trying to figure out what I did pre-99...

I don't know enough about your costumes to suggest any ones in particular. However, I like that photo of a piles of heads in the chair, nice and surreal ;)

It's sounding like Steele for sure...maybe Frost and Fire (but I'd have to either bring a bendie or find someone thin enough to fit into her).

I have not seen Frost, Fire are Steele, or the demon-dog (whom I drool over every time I see a picture) I would be VERY happy to see any or all of those!!

I could try to bring the Demon Dog (Hephaestus) up, though he doesn't qualify (he was actually at FC99). Then again, this may be the last time he could make it to a con (I'm using bits and pieces of him for something soon).

Dinner might be cool! Though I tend to stay on-sight at cons. I'm hoping to come up to SJ later in the year and maybe spend a few days (I'll keep you posted).

I'm in a quandry -- of all my suits, the ones that pre-date 1999 I still use: Yippee Coyote, Candy Coon, R.T. Dodger. I suppose I could bring Woodruff deWoof, if I find all his parts again.

As much as I'm sure that Napier (well, Bhob I guess at that point) would love to see his siblings again, I'm now limited in the amount of suits I can bring down from Canada. Even shipping things would be expensive, since there's customs to deal with :(

So, Napier won't be making FC this time.

Total bummer! Though that does help narrow it down! Darn Canadian/US customs! Still, no one has seen Chase (and Kruuk) in years (again, the problem of finding a body to fit her, or dragging a bendie).

The ones I remember from before '99 were Steele, the lions, the hyenas, and Fire & Frost/Ice. I'd bring my original wolf, but his replacement head won't be finished in time.

Come to think of it, SK-1 was unveiled in '98, so I guess he counts, too.

My original wolf head was never found. I gave what photos I have of it to SkyLioness, who is attempting to re-create the original look. I have the replacement head a friend made for me, but it's not very comfortable to wear, and I don't have space to bring it or ship it ahead of me.

That's right: I don't think we ever wore Scar and Zira at FC (though we did wear 'em at that Confurence in San Diego). I may bring heads...Zira's body has already been recycled and I'm only half-way done with Scar ver.III. For that matter, the picture reminded me that I don't think I ever wore Sadie Sabertooth (on the char--the costume and head) to a west-coast con...unfortunately, her musclesuit has already been recycled.

Do you have your original wolf? Or was that the one that was lost? I -think- the purpose of this panel is to be an opportunity for newer con go-ers to see some of the older costumes, especially those that have been "retired."

Yeah, my roomie at the time (long-suffering Steve) was somewhat non-plussed when he entered the room to find the place literally waist deep in costumes and props...I have a picture of that, too that I'll dig up.

The pile reminded me of the Cambodian/Khmer Rouge pyramid of human skulls...(so morbid!)
