SDCC Hotel Madness...

...was remarkably painless this year. ComiCon has actually finessed the process: you submit a form with your name and the dates and hotel prefs, they process that and THEN you give them credit card info, etc.

There's a lot less "I want to know what I got NOW", but a lot less crashing and hangs because you're not having to do the credit card dance at this point. Plus my usual paranoia about sekrit processes! that makes my gears grind, but still-- no crashing and starting-over, so this is far less frustrating/aggravating. Kudos to Travel Planners.

An interesting idea.... though it sort of sucks sitting in limbo for a few days til you learn if you even have a hotel.

I'm more frustrated with the fact that they have yet to open Pro or Press Registration. I have to book a hotel before I even know if I can attend.

Exactly! It's mind boggling.... It's been almost two months since regular tickets sold out, and still no peep...
