It Wouldn't Be Christmas Without Cheeses!
Dec. 25th, 2011 12:17 pmGift exchange at friend's house was calmer than usual, with a particularly spectacular potluck. Someone brought something called an Italian Meat Roll (it was like an unholy marriage of meatloaf and lasagna!), Buffalo Lasagna, String Beans (0 points!) and the usual hams and cheese (it wouldn't be Christmas without cheeses!). There were some fantastic pies and a load of chocolate. A points-buster night.
Plus, cat in a box!

The above beast is "Pooh". He loves boxes and will happily get into any container he can fit into. Not as manic as Maru, but still adorable. Christmas is like a day at Disneyland for him. I like him particularly for his name-- it lends itself to so many (tired) potty jokes: "Aw, there's Pooh in the Cat Box," or "Look– there's Pooh on the floor!"
Happy R0ndo:

This morning, after a dogwalk around the block (dogs wore their jingle bell collars– driving the other hounds around the neighborhood crazy), both dogs got their Christmas presents. R0ndo was the only one who posed because Apache scuttles off to hide while she gnaws.
Presents-wise, it was mostly stuff for the dogs from their canine-buddies, cookies, and one spectacular piece of art from a friend who did a scene from a favorite anime of mine (<–possibly the best present I've gotten in years in terms of read-me-right, takes-up-no-space and squee-value) .
