MUSE Concert

As something of a favor to martes, I went to the Muse concert that coincided with my last day in London. Mostly I wanted to get her a t-shirt or program book, but I figured why not go to the show, too? I'm not a huge fan of Muse, but if I could find a cheap ticket I'd go.

I hate to admit it, but the Muze concert was pretty good. Great light/effects show and terrific music.

I scored a reserved seat in the fifth-heaven and was surprised that they were good tickets (gotten as I was walking in at 7:30, for a concert that was supposed to start at 7). The scalper actually sold it for less than the price listed on the ticket (about $50).

I have to say that even in the limited concert-going experience I have, Muse fans are the nerdiest, frumpiest group of rock-concert audiences I've -ever- seen. I'll post pics when I get home.

One small bit of amusement: When I first started to film/shoot pics of the band, I thought, "Wow, these Muse-guys are more buff when they play live than their CD music sounds! The lead singer looks like a Viking and his voice is actually pretty gruff and manly-- the music almost sounds like death-metal!"

I was too embarrassed to ask anyone sitting near me if the band playing was Muse or not. I finally asked a person at the information booth and I discover I've been filming and taking tons of pictures of a warm-up band called, "I Am Eros" (or something like that) and that Muse wasn't on for another half hour. I spent the next ten minutes deleting a LOT of pics and video!

"Buff" definitely does not describe the Muse lead singer!! Man, that is too funny. Can't wait to see the pics and hear the blow-by-blow of the show!! Thanks so much for going.

I don't go to many big concerts -- I love live music, but I prefer smaller, more personable venues where they're not trying to blow your eardrums out with decibels.

But I would probably enjoy seeing Muse in concert someday. ^.^

Awwwss but I utterly adore muse :D

Interesting crowd tho, when I saw them a couple months back I got stuck around a large group of milfs and dead faced teenagers XD Really my city doesn't really have a good concert crowd. :P
