Border Collie Rescue Christmas Funday!

It looked for a while like the event would be soaked by rain, but though it was pouring in Los Angeles, it was bone-dry in El Mirage! Perfect dog-weather: crisp, chilly and dry. I can't blame those who bailed, but they missed a great day!

I made a special raffle basket that included a collar-leash combo with border collies and sheep on it. There was a ton of food-- I dogified the turkey carcass and got nearly a gallon of bits for the dogs out of it. R0ndo and Apache had a good time. The Santa hats lasted all of three seconds on their pointy heads, but R0ndo good naturedly put up with the jingle bells all evening (Apache hid until I took them off her).

OMG, Lance. Rondo is so adorable, especially in the Santa hat. Is it R0ndo with a 0? I've never noticed that before!

Aw, I wish I knew this was coming up, I could have tried to go to it. Maybe next year?
<3 Rondo and Apache! Taiko does that same thing Rondo is doing in the last pic- he comes up and sticks his head in my lap and looks like NOONE HAS EVAR LOVED HIM *sniff*.... :)
