Rain Freak!
Dec. 8th, 2009 11:48 pmLos Angeles has been uncharacteristically Autumnal: Cool, crisp temperatures (down into the 30's at night) and even some actual rain. I love it! This is the first time in years that we haven't had Santa Ana winds blasting temperatures into the 90's+. I miss this weather from when I grew up in the BArea: I didn't appreciate it then, but I miss it now.
One freaky thing: I got an iced tea in a styrofoam cup earlier in the day. I'm used to these things melting and drinking it until it's completely gone...but it's so chilly out that the ice never melted. In fact, when I got home almost six hours later, the ice cubes had hardly melted! I'm kind of freaked out by that. Normally I count myself lucky if the ice lasts the entire twenty minute drive home.
On the dogwalk tonight we were bundled up like the kids in "A Christmas Story". Amazingly, the dogs didn't seem to mind. I wonder what their lower limit (temperature-wise) is? I know Frieda would have -loved- this weather: dry and freezing. The rain, not so much.

Coba, born in Wyoming, seemed happy to see the light, rare dusting we had; Chaos has never really seen it yet. Jez is a fan.
