Just a warm-up as I try to catch up on LJ'ing...

Last night on dogwalk, I noticed a cat sitting on the balcony of the old folk's home. I saw its shadow first and liked the composition. Wish I had a good slr instead of a hand-held point-n-snap:

Also, I *finally* finished a head I made for a friend! I kept thinking that I just needed to add eyes, but had dilly-dallied because eye placement really requires a lot of concentration, both to get them in symmetrically and to fine-tweak the location (I dislike huge vision-gaps). Then I remembered I needed eyelids, teeth, tongue and tough-ups...so another six hours of just "popping the eyes in".

But I'm very happy with the result: a little bit trickster, a bit predatory, a sense of humor. Plus, an Eric Yee airbrush job!
