Disney+India="Roadside Romeo"
May. 16th, 2008 11:58 amJust heard an interesting piece on the news about how seriously Disney is taking the Indian market (3 out of ten kids in the world are Indian!). Their first collaboration is a CG animated feature titled, " Roadside Romeo ".
The story:
A rich, cool, spoiled brat of a dog is abandoned on the wicked streets of Mumbai. He faces new situations and dangerous, loony characters, the likes of which he has never met before.
The promo trailers are pretty funny-- especially if you know Bollywood: Romeo does impersonations of India's cliche' male stars.
You can bet there's a built-in fandom for these characters already! The female co-star (played by Kareena Kapoor) .... well, you figure it out:
