Apache fix

Apache got fixed last Thursday . I guess it's been a LONG time since Frieda went in for the same operation and I just don't remember how long it took for her to recover from surgery. Apache has to wear a "Bitenot" collar (which looks like a whiplash neck brace) for a week and has to refrain from jumping, running, etc. for two weeks. At least she doesn't have to wear an E-collar: with the Bitenot she can still use the dog-door and while it's uncomfortable and *itches* , she's dealing with it.

While Rondo enjoyed his brief only-dog status, I think he likes her presence: Rondo is quick to solicit play from her and she's particularly interesting now .

For all the stitches, itching, pain (I'm guessing there is at least discomfort) and the dread collar, she seems to be taking this very well.

And for the cat lovers:
A friend has a cat that has learned that he can torture the dogs (they're terrified of him!). Chicago (the cat) is a Master of Evil! This cat, by the way, is having kidney failure but through diligent watering (he gets water intravenously every 2-3 days) is doing very well (it's been over two years since he was diagnosed and Elayne started the water). Still, perhaps the best explanation is that he is part demon.
