Owls and cars
Jan. 14th, 2007 11:29 amI can tell when I'm procrastinating when I cook. Today I dashed over to the market and got some sausage and Pilsbury orange sticky buns. I stir fried the sausage with some leftover wild rice while the buns baked. Wild rice & sausage, hot orange sticky buns and pineapple juice. And I -still- haven't done my year-end or my resolutions post! Woo!
Further stalling, I spotted a hoot-owl (western great horned) in the pine trees yesterday! I was using Rondo's new tennis ball chucker and nearly beaned the owl in the tree (who glared balefully at us). This owl (or one very like her) occasionally roosts in the trees in the backyard. I hadn't heard her plaintive "hoot" in a while, so I was glad to see she's still around.

The owl watched Rondo chase the ball up and down the hillside but otherwise didn't budge.
There are two cool cars that are parked nearby. Does anyone have a clue as to what they are?

And now to go back into the shop and retire the notion of getting those posts done at all today...
