Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] waynekaa, the skit is viewable!

The MC's dialogue is:

Entry number 24: "We Lost"
After the final battle, not everyone gets to marry an elf princess...not everyone goes to the Grey Havens...not everyone goes home heroes

Since some of my brain cells have finally regenerated, let me thank a bunch of folks for their help:

Huge props and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kvogel, without whose help and painting skilz Mort would never have been finished on time (in addition to his excellent warg-wrangling talents); [livejournal.com profile] spunkywulf for her amazing help designing Mortimer; and of course, to Lynette for her mind-blowing, scratch-built orc!!

We also fall at the feet of the awsome photographers [livejournal.com profile] didjiman, [livejournal.com profile] burmecian_storm, [livejournal.com profile] lionboogy and [livejournal.com profile] eurobeatking

The masquerade staff deserves huge kudos as well: this was a wonderfully organized and run show. Despite complex glitches beyond their control, they managed to get the show started in a timely way and keep the line moving.

*LAUGHING* That was absolutely PRECIOUS :D You guys did a fantastic job!!!! Sounds like the audience thought so too, by the sounds of the cheers and hoots :) And thank you again for allowing me to help you with the project, it was loads of fun, and quite an honor :) Awesome work!!!

I'm so happy I was able to translate the personality of your designs into his face. Your characters are always so over-flowing with personality! He looks so doofy just sitting there that I can be lazy inside him!

Oh he came out lovely. He's so... so... HAPPY with that I'M A GOOD BOY DURR grin :D

Mort's body language totally makes this. You just want to rub his tummy.

(also, the arrow in his butt... HAHAHAH!)

Arrow in butt is my favorite gag. Shows how stupid tough they are!

OK. Grrr. I'd made some guesses as to how the head "worked" in terms of the design. Watching this skit, those guesses were clearly all wrong.

It's a good effect, regardless, and he moves very well. Now I just need to see him in person to confirm my new guesses! :>

His movements were a large part of his engineering: his construction had to have Mort do so many different things, plus look all right when in a neutral position. Lots of low-tech tricks, too.

Oh my god that video is hysterical! Was that you in the worg? Whoever was in the worg suit captured playful dogginess perfectly! Most excellent!

By the way, I had a dream about you last night! I dreamed you made a fursuit with interchangeable claws, sort of a mutated huge werewolf character with claws that could be swapped out with sharp blades when he needed to fight.

Thank you! Of course that was me-- I'd never put some poor schmoe into something like Mortimer. I owe all my doggish personality to close observation of Rondo. Most of them are his (and an idiot pit-bull at the dog park).

Why can't I have dreams like that?!? So cool...and it begs a cartoon: "Pardon me while I change into something more comfortable..." Schling-schlash!

Aww, glad to help! I should have left in that bit when I fall off the stage for more hilarity (honestly, I didn't know I had fallen off until the catcher-ninja said, "Caught you!").

Fantastic work. Will we be seeing him at FC? Love how huge the paws look :)

Thanks! I might bring him to FC-- depends on how much room I have. He's a big boy...

That looks great! I think the arrow in the ass was a nice touch.

The arrow is my favorite cheap gag! It sort of defines his character. "Hi! Durr!"

My teeth are hurting from the cuteness. Fantastic construction, as always.

Would you mind if I re-posted this to the [livejournal.com profile] rarsuit community?

Wow! He's even more impressive in motion! I have to agree the arrow adds so much, the proverbial icing on the cake. :)

Just so want to rub his belly now. :D

I can see what you mean about the floppyness, it seems just right for the character for some reason :D
