So, for my elder friends, what questions would constitute a meme for -us-?

The first few that popped into my head:

What sound is your gut making at this moment?

When was the last time you had -no- prescriptions on file at any pharmacy?

What was the last pop word/phrase/concept that someone (younger) mentioned in casual conversation that you pretended to know but had to Google as soon as you could?

Name a lingering physical ache (most painful or lingering or irritating).

Name something practical that your parents preached to you that you fought like a wet cat because it was NOT COOL...that you now abide by.

What was the first moment you ever considered you might be "middle aged". What was the source of this revelation?

Have you ever been offered a "senior discount" when you weren't even close to eligible? Conversely, when were you conspicuously not-carded when buying booze?

Have you ever eaten any food -only- to solve some physical ailment and not at all because it tasted good?

When was the first time you -chose- to stay at home to clean instead of going out for fun?

How old were you when you first said or -thought- "Those darn/irresponsible/idiot kids!"

When and what was the last piece of technology you had to ask a kid for help with?

When do you first remember saying, "I'm too old for this!" and what were you doing?

When did exciting conversations with friends first lean more towards physical ailments and cures than towards talk of arts, news, politics?


So, any of my geezer friends have any to add?

Mmmmmm, not to make a joke about memory, but as phrased, most of these I can't answer--I don't remember when I first had most of those thoughts. And I'm not sure I would be particularly interested in answers to most. Except that I really do love the "What advice from your parents... you now abide by" question. I think that one could get some interesting answers.

However, if you wanted to make a meme where you have folks bold the things that they've done with a slight rephrasing of most of the questions.
