furtechThis Saturday should be very interesting...Jim and Joel Hodgson (of MST3K fame) are re-viving their party/performance art/music-thing, Superball 8 . What makes it interesting is that it's at the place I work: we're donating the space.
This whole week they've been building stuff and I got the nickel tour yesterday. Should be a lot of fun-- certainlyt interesting. Atomic Reactor ping-pong*...live canine spay/neuter operations**...art***...music****...plus a supercool souvenir ring!
It's an open-kind of event, though they're not advertising it (word of mouth). You can buy a ring/admission on the website (moneybag). Not for the mundane at heart, though.

****eclectic, goofy and very Hodgson Bros.; one of the DJs helped design/program Guitar Hero.

Date: 2007-07-20 02:32 am (UTC)The site says they're sold out of rings...but one can still get in with a $25 donation. Basically when I went years and years ago, Joel and Jim had their friends doing different types of entertainment, and they'd asked me to bring Yippee. Surreal stuff!
Hope it's a blast! I'll be home this weekend, nose buried in a particular record-breaking book.
