My grasshopper August has transformed into an ant's September. I'm paying the price for dilly-dallying on projects that had no deadlines (which help me focus). At the same time I'm protective about my free time (mostly hikes and dogwalks), so I have to do quite a bit of spinning in order to get everything out on time. Two costumes need to be finished by the end of September and a commission I promised by the end of November. And I need to edit the test footage, but I'm still a bit daunted by OSX and Final Cut. Plus all the other projects screeching for attention.

Socially things have been up and down: ups include a trip to a gaming convention with [livejournal.com profile] martes and a Labor Day BBQ at [livejournal.com profile] calicougar 's place (full of *MEAT*). Check out their journals for details-- I'd just be repeating their more lucid entries.

In Asian folklore, the dragon is usually a sign of good fortune. The other day I saw a magnificent dragon-shaped cloud while I was driving and managed to snap some pictures of her. I don't know what fortuitous combination of wind and air brought this about (and I don't really care), but I see her as a good omen.

Here's a close up of her head:

Wow, that's an awesome cloud! I see dragons in the clouds a lot. I do have a photo of one I shot in Arizona or New Mexico. I should scan it.

Too fast!

Unfortunately, "ijournal" doesn't seem to have a "preview" function... so I just post the message and see what it looks like. Now you can actually *see* the full dragon pics!

And do post your cloud dragons!

I could see them! It was just a matter of removing an extra slash at the end. :D

Usually when I post things like that, I upload it to my site, look at it in the browser, then copy/paste the url directly from the browser.

But that is a great photo! I saw a cool cloud that looked like a lion leaping out from behind a mountain when I was driving north to Vegas. Unfortunately I was driving, and couldn't photograph it. :/
