Charlie Brown Farms

Turns out the big stop of the day was at Charlie Brown Farms in the tiny desert city of Little Rock. This is way out in the desert, about an hour or so north-east of Los Angeles.

OHMYGAWD! the KITSCH! Every brand of candy still being manufactured... brands of soft drinks I've never heard of... life-sized cavemen ...a bath shop with everything you wanted to decorate your bathroom as an Egyptian tomb, D&D dungeon or fru-fru lacy-flowery-cherub porcelan . Cephelapods on swings . Life-sized dinosaurs . A collection of bronzes that look stolen from mortuaries. GREAT SAUSAGES! A million flavors of shakes-- I got "marshmallow-bannana" and loved it!



There is also a lot of WTF ...great ART ... need a life-sized pirate skeleton?

If you ever find yourself out this way I pity you be sure to stop here! For the great food even if uber-kitsch isn't your thing!

Yeah-- and about a hundred other obscure brands. While you may be able to find them online, what could be better than to be able to browse and sample with friends right there?

I need to know, did you get that email I sent you with Taiko2's picture? Is the Border Collie Rescue interested? The animal rescue group here will be taking a vanload of animals to San Diego this Wednesday and if someone would meet them along the way, they'd probably take Taiko2/Chevy with them. But it's getting late, and arrangements need to be made if it's gonna happen.
