Yup, to paraphrase Inigo Montoya: "Scheduling conflicts galore." Even up here in the PacNW, far from the California rat race, we've got similar issues. Sakura-Con directly conflicts with Norwescon, meaning that Sionna will be on one side of Seattle, and I'll be on the other in a few months. All other things being equal, I'd recommend heading to the Bay Area and maybe trying to divide your time between the two events there; Sionna should be doing the same.

Last year after I forgot about Baycon and Fanime till it was too late, I wanted to make a note to go to them. Bummer they are at the same time. Wes and I may show up at one or both. Since I know so few folks we probably won't spend much time in either cept browsing for stuff and costumes. Heh.one day pass for both or something. Hmm.
