Great day to veg and try to get over concrud. The original "Cape Fear" was on one of the classic movie stations, followed by "Dr. Strangelove" and then the first "Dirty Harry" movie. And then it was still the early afternoon, so I got cracking on some writing needed for a project. My throat was raw last night but is finally getting better thanks to the monsoon humidity we've been having (and resisting the AC).

As I was leaving the House of Zor tonight I saw a shooting star. Made a wish. Then wondered if it mattered that what I saw was probably Russian space junk (Dependski's and other garbage). The piece was too wide and bright and orange to be a meteor. Maybe they'll have something about it on the news (it was that bright and big). The last one I saw was bright green and confirmed the next day to be Russian garbage (it's what they do... and apparently yes, they use a kind of Gramper's instead of spending millions on developing space toilets that don't work...).

Get well soon, dude! And don't worry... if you believe in your heart it was a shooting star, then your wish-making is still valid! There's nothing wrong with wishing upon Russian space junk :)

Russian space junk. That's such a great phrase. Da space junk! Da space junk!

It's just that a burning mass of ancient metals and carbon feels more wish-able than a flaming bag of Depends...

If you saw it right as we got back from the store, I saw the same one. It was very bright, and I think it seperated into a couple peices before finally burning out.

Yeah! That one! How in the world did you see that? I thought you were inside the house by then (I had done my duty and waited until I thought you were clear of the rapists and miscreants potentially lurking behind your gate before I left). Lemme know if you hear anything on the news/paper.
