Major Network Outage!

Apparently there is some major badness on the 'net: big ol' network outage for a big chunk of the net! Not all sites affected, obviously, but Aaron (who admins my sites) said that the was huge...and it's been out for a couple of hours now. Not too bad for me*-- I just wanted to (obsessively) check my email-- but a major hit for a lot of businesses I'm sure!


*I've got a disk full of weird anime and ten more episodes of Bleach to watch!

Dunno dude, usually when something is failing in a major sort of way it shows up here. Whatever's happening with your site (and Calicougar's) they are accessible from all of the places I can try right now.

I guess it's all relative: the stuff is back up but may be "unstable" for a while yet. Here's what she said:

"Speakeasy techincal support did not have any further information for
us. There was an outage someplace upstream from them. At the very
least it took out all of Los Angeles area Speakeasy customers. There
is a good chance it affected some other providers too, but I only know
for sure about Speakeasy. They were not the ones working on the
problem since it was actually a problem with their provider. I have
no idea what happened. It could be anything from a car crashing into
the wrong thing, to some kind of massive computer problem somewhere."
