First AX photos!

Here my first posted AX photos: of some spectacular costumes (and by request):

Tupperware Gundam!
Blaine is my new hero: spectacular costume (to say the least) and he stayed in it, standing up for at least six hours, including 3 hours next to the stage and walked to and from the hotel (about 600yards). Woo!

Gundam2
Gundam3

A terrific Jigan! Totally cool.

That's a LOTTA molding! (I'm guessing they molded parts, or assembled compliant premade plastic bits...)

I dig the frog too... WOW!
All Good :>

The Gundam robot was made from Tupperware... all of it! I think he may have pop-riveted them together. I'm mostly curious as to what kind of paint he got to stick to the stuff.

The Spirited Away group's big costumes were entirely sheet foam sculpted-- 1/4" for a lot of it (the Baba's face, the dragon's head/arms). Her hair was either 3/4" or 1" foam sheets.

The spirited away group is AMAZING. I saw a book back in high school about foam sculpting called 3-d Wizardry that had these gorgeous foam dragons in it. SO nifty!

He owns most of us... and he's a really nice guy, too! Even after being in costume (and on his feet) for six hours! Amazing!

That's outstanding!
The 99c store has a lot of good lookalike tupperware kinda stuff.. so that might be a great alternative to keep in mind ... thanks!
