As mentioned in an earlier post, I was dumbfounded to find a German-language version of Hogan's Heroes on German television late one night.
Iisaw said that apparently the dialogue has little to do with the original American script, which I can believe, but there are other notable differences: no swastikas (they've been blacked out on the armbands of the Gestapo officer and Hitler is never mentioned (they just silently salute).
According the the Wiki article on the show, the German Powers-That-Be were -very- unhappy that this ever aired and eventually forced it off during its first run in the 90's. Another version (not sure what the differences are) was aired in the early 2000's and is obviously still airing.
As much as this is considered a "bad" show, I think it's one of the funniest shows ever made (along with Gilligan's Island and Get Smart).
Another Hogan's Heroes clip showing the Klink-Schultz-Hogan schtick:
Here's a clip of the big dance on Saturday, DJ'd by Big Blue Fox:
Stan Sakai tells the story of Momo Taro, with illustrations!
Bernd das Brot: one station aired a loop of this show for 2-3 hours, until the channel came on-air again in the morning. The show is strange enough, but having the 10-minute loop running over and over: surreal.
These include Stan Sakai telling the story of Momo Taro, more Hogan's Heroes (in German) clip and a shot of the Saturday night BBF dance.
