Yeah, I don't know if you saw my FB review or not but I was really happy with some of the choices they made in Les Miz. (Others not so much, notably the scene between Javert and Gavroche -- I just thought it didn't fit, but it's really a minor complaint). I understand they had to cut some things because of the medium and the visuals totally made up for it. That flag in the opening, wow. And the barricade was really effective as well I think. Definitely much better done than Phantom, though I still think Chicago is a really good film adaptation as well.
