Your Friendly Neighborhood Dog Know-It-All here! The collie is a lovely example of the colour phase known a "white." I had a collie when I was a 'teen who was a sable like Lassie (his name was Seaside Sunny Bonnie Prince Laddie.) They also come in tri-color and merle.
