Prythees and privies

furtechBack from the Ren Faire! Fun! Sun! Sun. sun... too... much... sun. Why can't they have one night where they sell admissions? That would be so cool! Literally and figuratively.
Made the trip with Trace (sans The Brain) and shopped and gawked and ate. Got my fix of faire fud. Looked (but did not buy) at a ton of neat costumes. Did not find anything to fill out the new pirate costume (I think I can make pieces better suited to his personality). Watched a bawdy show ("Testocules and the Sack of Rome") and did -not- get to see an Italian comedy (they were a no-show).
The heat, however, was oppressive... not as hot as some years, but humid. Trace was really feeling the heat and I was even starting to feel it. Luckily, the people who run the faire do have a clue: there are huge sunshades covering many rows and water spritzers everywhere. I think the heat was why I ended up not buying any costume parts... it was certainly why I decided against buying a beef rib. Water. Water and fruit!
And yesterday there was a Banjo sighting! A hike in the hills with H, Trace and Zor, along with Banjo, Cody and Frieda. Banjo and Cody really hit it off! They're fun to watch chase each other (Cody lurves everyone; Banjo jus' wants to play). Then Italian food. Great combo: dogs, hike and Italian food.
