...but think of this logically: Edd's reason is sheer laziness. if he didn't click on LJ cuts he wouldn't get any excercise at all! However-- cutting serves an additional useful purpose for those people looking at LJ through a PDA or phone or a dial-up.
At least my gripe can be backed up by more than just the number of heart-attacks caused by an extra *click*!
