Saw T-3 and Sinbad with Calicougar and The Brain today. I feel like I've gotten some unpleasant chore out of the way: accomplished and over with.

Actually, T-3 was pretty watchable. Don't expect Shakespear or Attenborough, but the plot moved right along and I hardly ever looked at my watch. One thing I did notice: the car chase was a lot more effective (IMO) than the one in Matrix. Something about practical effects still rock over CG effects. Matrix's destruction was clinical and spectacular; T3 really made me wince and squirm a few times. Little things like when they smash some innocent car made me cringe. CG's getting better, but nothing beats real stunts for feeling the action.

Sinbad: the Roc (big white bird) was neat. In a comparison to "Alladin": I never wondered why Alladin was animated. Cartoony, charismatic faces/designs and a fantastic world. Sinbad would have been a better live-action movie, to take advantage of the actors they used; any of the effects could have been done in live action and with more effect.
