Unless it's being used as part of a halloween costume, that's mean. :( Dogs don't like being laughed at, except when they are actually trying to amuse people. Dogs hate being humiliated. :(

I looks like they're only for small dogs...and if a small dog needs a muzzle (nippers and ankle-biters), at least these are a LOT less nasty-looking than a cage muzzle. The look of a cage muzzle is so off-putting to owners that maybe those with nippers would be more willing to use these instead.

Seriously doubt people would use these just to be funny...there are plenty of real costumes (that are more comfortable, more humiliating) that are available. Muzzles are for real situations however they look.

That's true, I'd forgotten about excitable tiny dogs who seem to think they need to sink teeth in early and often.

I've used a soft mesh muzzle on rescue-girl Kaiya on a few occasions just to stop her from barking obessively (because she gets obliviously excited at times and then won't or can't listen to me), but I take it off as soon as she calms down.
