Lady In Black and Radcliffe

I am liking Daniel Radcliffe more and more as an actor. Harry Potter aside, he takes chances (Equus and How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying ) and while his singing skills may not be virtuoso, he makes up for it with great energy and personality. He's filling the niche that Matthew Broderick vacated when he got old (heh).

I just heard that he was playing the starring role in The Woman in Black, based on the very successful London stage show. The trailer for The Woman In Black is creepy and cool. Radcliffe is perfect for the role. I am SO looking forward to this film (out February 3, 2012). The only thing I didn't see in the trailer was Spider, the little border collie that the caretaker leaves with Radcliffe's character to keep him company. That would make it the best film of the year for me! (<--oops, checked the original book by Susan Hill and John Lawrence and Spider is a terrier. Still. Dog. Dog named "Spider")

I had heard Daniel Radcliffe was pretty good in "How To Succeed". You don't have to have a phenomenal voice for the role he plays, and I think too much emphasis is put on that kind of thing anyway.

I'm looking forward to the Lady in Black remake also. The original version is one of my all time favourtie ghost movies and the new ads look pretty faithful. And yes, Radcliffe looks perfect for the role.
