Happy Valentines Day/Singles Awareness Day! I wish I had a sweetie to plan adventures with, but for now I'll settle for a couple of border collies that smell like Placerita Creek. (<--kind'a moss-y)

The worst part about this years V-Day: THEY CHANGED THE FLAVOR OF THOSE CHALKY-HEART CANDIES! Instead of tasting like sugar with a hint of flavor, conversation hearts now taste like bathroom cleaner! (Or what bathroom cleaners smell like.) Augh! They're *awful* now! The only upside is that I won't binge on them anymore. I hate it when they "fix" something that isn't broken!

They did WHAT to the classic Valentines Day candy hearts?!?!? :O Is nothing sacred??

Guess I'll only be buying this kind now:

(A local store had 5 types of plush dog toy squeaky hearts, so Leila made out like a bandit:
Purple: "Puppy Love"
Orange: "I [pawprint] You"
Green: "XOXO"
Yellow: "Woof"
Pink: "Sloppy Kisser")

"I hate it when they "fix" something that isn't broken!"

That sums it up for like WAY too many things!

I never thought those candies tasted good to begin with. Happy V-Day nevertheless.

They're disgusting regardless, but I wonder why they changed them? I like the Sweet Tart ones though, they're pretty okay.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know! Like how they "fixed" plum baby food so that it's made with appples and not sugar. What's the point in me eating it? Oh wait..it's for babies...

We have similar sweets here called Love Hearts: http://www.adgiftsonline.com/AddProdImages/465_34069_l.jpg

They are delicious!

They may be called Smarties in the US. Which confuses me because we have Smarties here that are chocolate in a shell.

Well, I liked them. It's like when they changed Coke's formula-- what mentality is it in companies that makes them change something so traditional? If you're going to do this, call them something else to see if that -is- more popular or not.

What were they thinking?? Those darn babies don't even -know- what good food is (or they wouldn't eat most of the stuff made for them). I mean really-- Zwieback? How could anything made of pure carbs taste so horrid!

I've actually had Love Hearts-- but didn't care for them. Too hard, smooth and the flavors were a little to strong for me. What I liked about the Brach's Conversation Hearts was their subtle taste and texture. (It's a totally personal/subjective thing!)

Actually, yeah-- one of the flavors tastes like what urinal mints smell like (I've never actually tasted a urinal mint that I know of...)

...He-eeeey! How do YOU know what urinal mints smell like??!! Sneaking in the boys room, eh?
