AND here we have proof that there are indeed humans so far less intelligent than the dumbest companion animal that they put our supposedly "intelligent" species to shame.

The most recent (really good) books I have read on the subject of dogs are Ted Kerasote's "Merle's Door: Lessons from a Freethinking Dog" and Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson's "Dogs Never Lie About Love: Reflections on the Emotional World of Dogs".
