Saw Warhorse

omg.

Exceeded my wildest expectations. On a determined whim, I dragged Fatkraken to the backstage door and made big eyes at the guard, asking if the stage manager or asst. stage manager could possibly be willing to let us see the puppets. The puppet maintainer, though tired, was a saint: he took us backstage and gave us a grand tour. More on this when I get back and have the pictures sorted out.

Still blown away by the whole evening. (*inarticulate sound*)

Oh wow, I am jealous!

Amazing! You have +10 charisma. :D

Does Warhorse end sadly, like with the horse dying in the end? I'm very curious about the book/movie/play but I don't feel like dealing with animal death right now (this year.)

I want to see it but I am afraid that I would cry too much. I have always loved horses and the using horses like machines in war has always bothered me.

OMG did you get pics back stage too? I would LOVE to see them.

I am glad to hear that! I'm going to London to see it this fall and have heard nothing but rave reviews about it. I look forward to hearing more about your experiences!

Augh! Totally jealous! I want to see this show sooo badly! I even went and found the book it based off of and read that, which only whetted the appetite for the show. I can't wait until it comes to NYC, and then I'll be making a trip out there just to see it.

I'm even more jealous that you got a backstage tour! You have all the luck.

*SPOILER*

There is a lot of death in the play (most of it takes place on a WWI battlefield, afterall), but for boy and horse: happy ending
