The Station Fire

I took these pictures on Monday night on the way back from the Huntington Beach Dog Day. I stopped at an overpass near my home and tried out the F200exr (excellent low-light photography!). The fires were visible all over the Valley-- from here they're about ten miles away.

Thankfully the firefighters think they have turned a corner on this fire and may be winning the battle. Slowly, but winning none-the-less. Good luck, guys!

Wow, cool photo.
Yes- good luck guys! We're even getting haze from those fires over here, and a lot of people have begun having throat/respiratory problems lately because of it. I had a severe sinus headache three days ago when it first came over and now my throat is "catchy". My Mom's asthma is slightly worse- she had to do a breathing treatment today twice! :(

Thx for the good pix, and thx to the firefighters! Those backfires really do the trick most of the time.. that's how they saved our house in the early 1980s...

nice, night photography there. especially the one with the cars on the freeway. Looks like you are far enough away from the danger zone but best of luck to you and the dogs and everyone else affected by this. It's been real hazy up here and i'm over 400 miles north of you guys. :(
