Beware of Google Drifting...(Morgellons)

So...I was googling to see if the diatomaceous earth used in some pool filters could cause itchiness after swimming (no-- apparently it's just a skin reaction to bromide or chlorine). Also, apparently some people eat diatomaceous earth for some quackery and others use it as flea control for their cats and dogs (leading to very dusty homes apparently).
That led to links about something called "Morgellons Syndrome". There are arguments both for and against the actual existence of this disease, but I'm less inclined to believe those who dismiss it outright after the way Lyme's disease and chronic fatigue syndrome verifications turned out. Morgellons is that situation where mysterious fibers (black, white, red and blue) appear on or under the skin. Sometimes along with little, wriggling fibers that emerge from slow-healing sores.
That led to reading comments on Morgellons tagged videos on YouTube...which led to learning about the "chemtrail" government conspiracy. According to adherents of this conspiracy, "chemtrails" are a chemical-filled form of contrails left by planes that apparently our government is using to do everything from lower/prevent global warming to supporting the pharmaceutical industry by making us sick. Apparently Morgellons disease is caused by chemtrails, too. Those who believe in the chemtrail conspiracy are -rabid- about it. In other words, nutzo.
That led to links about other conspiracies (equally nutzo, yet fascinating), etc., etc.
Drift is a dangerous thing for the bored or work-avoiding...
Plus, an early drift from Morgellons Syndrome led to videos about other parasites. Here's what I learned: NEVER, EVER SEARCH YOUTUBE FOR "PARASITES"!!! Ack! I cut that drift WAY short!
The end result is that now I am itchy all over and need to take another shower. Aggghafhglll!
