Puppets!

While googling something relating to the Great Hunt, I came across this music video:

Apparently, "The Barenaked Ladies" did a kids album and this was one of the songs/videos (their "789" is also pretty funny). Fun group, fun video! (And yes, Wyoon-- "polliwog" -is- fun to say!)

Here's the extended version of the song

LOL! Its so cool to see someone who hasn't known about BNL's kid's album or isn't a follower of the band discover this. The entire CD for "Snacktime" is actually REALLY good. In fact, I was so inspired by the song "Curious" on the album, that I'm building a pair of cat puppets to perform the song. ;)

"This video is not available in your country".

Too bad ... :(

Heh, cute. I never knew BNL did kid's stuff. If you like these guys you might want to give They Might Be Giants a listen as well, they also sing lots of silly and amusing songs.

Barenaked Ladies is one of those groups I should pay more attention to: I've liked everything I've heard from them-- it's just that nothing ever leapt out and grabbed me. Sorta the same thing with They Might Be Giants, until "Birdhouse in the Soul" and "Istanbul" were released.

I've got Snacktime on my Amazon list now, and I'm checking out their albums.

I like TMBG's a lot (see above). In addition to the above, I also love "Particle Man." Someone could play them all day and I wouldn't mind (probably enjoy it even), but with few exceptions I don't chase them like some other groups.

Whee! That's a very cute one, indeed :) And thank you for saving me from my lazyness to google this up myself. *cough* *cough* :)

Snacktime is great, really! But I'd say avoid "Barenaked Ladies are Me" and "Barenaked Ladies are Men." Not their better albums. "Stunt" is the best CD they released here in the US, followed by "Disc One: All Their Greatest Hits." That's actually a great one to start with.

Its too bad what's happened with the band though. Their lead singer Steven Page (also one of the bands founders) has left the band, and their sound is much the worse for it.

I'm a BNL fan, can you tell? Also a TMBG fan too. I guess you could say I like quirky bands.

That was a kick!... nifty puppets, and also really liked the reggae-style rappin' in the middle too, even though I don't usually!

I remember watching this, as I was quite the Ladies man, right up there with They Might Be Giants when it came to goofy awesomeness. :)
