Muffuletta in Los Angeles?

Does anyone know where to find a good Muffuletta sandwich in Los Angeles? For some reason, I've been craving one. I had one once, but I can't remember where I got it (I think it was in Seattle, of all places).

Panera bread doesn't have them?

I love me some Panera. Wish we had one here in Spokane.

Really? I've never been in a Panera-- I'll go check it out!

I usually get the Asagio roast beef sandwich there. Very tasty!

I looked at their online menu and it doesn't look like they have Muffuletta per se, but I guess the bread is similar to foccacio (sp?) and they may have that bread.

Oh-- wait. A Muffuletta Sandwich is only partially about the bread: it's a type of sandwich that originated in New Orleans that involved cold cuts and a big slop of olive salad. The key is apparently the olive salad. I think I originally had one at an Italian bakery in Seattle.

The Grove Farmer's Market should have one.

That's a bit of a trek, but good to know. If I'm down that way, I'm more likely to want to hit Lee's Sandwiches, tho'.
