Border Collie Puppies!

Here's the full Flickr set!
So much has happened since I last posted. I try to avoid writing here when my brain is mushier than usual and the last month has been the epidomy of "interesting times." I'll post about most of it, but I'm going to start slowly, with something easy: Puppies!
Friends
Tay was such a marvelous dog that they went back to the source: Tay's brother had a litter with a nice trial dog named "Molly". Their ranch is just outside of Fresno and is filled with sheep, cattle, puppies (including weinerdogs) and a couple of working dogs (borders and great Pyr's).

OMG puppies. Despite my preference for adult dogs from rescues, omg puppies. Only Tay was skeptical about the furry balls of cuteness. We spent the afternoon playing with the pups and the momdog. Though this was to be "Carol's dog," it was clear that Eric would advocate for certain dogs. The early leader was a female with an arrow-mark on her neck (instead of a full white collar of fur). I loved this dog: she (IMO) is the pick of the litter: calm, intelligent (well, they were all smart) and bold-but-not-pushy. She will be a fantastic animal! The dark horse was one with a crescent of white fur around the side of her neck. She pulled the upset, though, by a deft maneuver: she snuggled up against Eric and fell asleep against his leg. She's pushier and bolder, but also a great dog!

Must forget about puppies...so cute...resistance is futile...agh.

I wish I had a chance to meet Roxy (KS' border collie) when she was a wee puppy. The photos he has of her are SO adorable.
