Beaver Cat Food
May. 14th, 2010 02:30 pmWhen I was at the Pet Expo the other week, I bought all manner of weird "gourmet" cat foods for a friend who dotes on her cat-pack. There were plenty of "just like human food" types, but this one stuck out: a cat food made entirely from beaver meat. Where in the world do they get that much beaver meat?!? Maybe a fur farm? Huh.

Most of her cats sniffed at it like it was surely poison (the dog-guy had brought it, after all), but her little explorer, Columbus, took to it with gusto. He's also the one who catches and eats the most gophers, so maybe it has that delicous rodent flavor he covets.
If you want to order some, the web site is seen on the third picture .
Or I can just link it here:
Canine Caviar
Apparently the protein is so high in these foods that it is suitable for both cats and dogs (though I'm positive it would give R0ndo the trots-- too high in protein for his glass stomach).
