Useful holiday links!
Nov. 24th, 2004 05:27 pmI really need to do my annual "thankful" post. I regularly take inventory of the things I'm thankful for, especially when things are rough. Doing that helps to keep things in perspective, especially the bad.
But for now, here are two useful liinks!
TANN is an online traffic flow map. This site has saved me much grief in the past. One thing I'm thankful for is not having to drive on the freeways tonight! If you roll your cursor over the red or yellow dots (or the triangles), you'll see what the average speed at that location is:

Here's the site for you folks not local to L.A. (they have a number of large city maps):

And here's a link to a great online-radio network:

I listen to Maximem Broadway Radio , which is great for showtunes (old, new, obscure and cool shows!). The guy who runs this station puts together a great mix, even better than my XM Broadway station. They also have a station for everything from 20's to the present, goth and blues, and probably holiday channels too. My favorite area is the Soundtracks section: they have a ton of movie/tv soundtrack stations, several Anime stations (even a DDR and a Pokemon station!), 'toon music, and other eclectic fluff! Highly recommended!
