Several months ago I was aquainted with a new grain: Quinoa! I *love* this stuff. The flavor is nuttier-meatier than most grains; the texture is smooth, pasta-like and it's moist, unlike things like Couscous (gag--too dry!). I made some this afternoon and added some leftover Pollo Loco (sorry Frieda!). Wonderful stuff! Even eaten plain, it's filling. Apparently it has a high protein content. Try some!
